Thank you for inviting me to judge Northland Exposed. Congratulations to all the artists who contributed to this exceptional exhibit, showcasing a diverse array of works, styles, and media.

The talent in this group is truly impressive! Selecting the winners was no easy task. In my deliberations, I focused on three main elements: visual impact, composition and design, and craftsmanship. The chosen pieces reflect my admiration for the versatility and creativity of this group of artists, honoring various media.

Second Place: "Ballet Dancers" by Paige Stanonik

An extraordinary sculpture of two dancers, part human, part rose. I particularly admired the skillful handling of the medium in creating graceful postures and the dynamic expression of the female dancer's movement.
